An Exhaustive List of Free, Legal Music (in-progress)

December 9, 2012

Like so many others, I like music. Because of my financial situation and probably an excessive frugality, I do not always like paying for music. I understand that supporting artists is important, but I don’t think that we can truly place a premium on sound–I would much rather support artists through merchandise, donations, shows, etc. For this reason I have decided to compile a resource of music offered for free, legally, straight from the labels or the artists.

Some of this music will be donation optional–as in, you can name your price for the album (free included)–or the artist accepts donations. I will do my best to include information on donating, and name your price (NYP) albums will be listed. I encourage you to give if you can.

Parenthetical Girls Save Christmas

We realize it’s a little late in coming this year, but I dare say that it was worth the wait? Allow us to present Parenthetical Girls Save Christmas—the latest offering in our already bloated compendium of contemporary holiday fare. I can safely say that it’s the best one since the last one, at least.
